| What is Delta-8? Delta-8 is a molecule with a similar structure to Delta-9 THC, but some notable differences. While the two share many similar properties, such as reportedly stimulating appetite, reducing nausea, and soothing pain, delta-8 tends to exhibit a lower psychoactive response than delta-9-THC. Delta-8 only exists in very small amounts of the hemp plant, but because it offers some unique and amazing effects not found with other cannabinoids, extractors and manufacturers have begun isolating this compound to create interesting new products.  According to the National Cancer Institute, delta-8 can be defined as: “An analogue of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) with antiemetic, anxiolytic, appetite-stimulating, analgesic, and neuroprotective properties. [Delta-8-THC] binds to the cannabinoid G-protein coupled receptor CB1, located in the central nervous system…This agent exhibits a lower psychotropic potency than [delta-9-THC], the primary form of THC found in cannabis.” Delta-8 comes in a full array of colors. You can have D8 from crystal clear to dark Amber in color.  One thing to keep it mind, Delta-8 DOES have psychoactive effects, but they are much milder than if you consume Delta-9.
